It is believed that there are between 1.5 – 2 million people in the U.K suffering from fibromyalgia. No one seems to be sure what causes fibromyalgia and the symptoms can vary dramatically from person to person but most commonly will include widespread pain, fatigue and sleep issues.
Fibromyalgia seems to affect people of all ages, but mostly those aged between 30 to 50 years old, and women are much more likely to develop the condition compared to men.
The NHS website lists some factors that may attribute to the onset of fibromyalgia but one of the most common underlying factors seems to be stress, this can be as a result of illness, injury, surgery, bereavement, emotional upset or periods of mental health problems. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/fibromyalgia/causes/
Traditionally fibromyalgia and its symptoms are managed by your G.P with a range of pain relief, anti-depressants and anti-inflammatory medications, with varying degrees of success, although many sufferers report that they still find the pain exceptionally difficult to manage and during a flare up of the condition can find themselves confined to bed for days at a time.
More and more people are now turning to a more natural and holistic way to manage their fibromyalgia as they become more aware of the long lasting effects taking opiate pharmaceuticals can have on their body. M.C.C. is the U.K’s leading holistic company specialising in Fibromyalgia and with our vast range of essential oil powered products we have helped hundreds of sufferers reduce or completely remove their prescribed medications. (We recommend this is only done with your G.P’s consent and supervision)
We would recommend four products in particular to manage your symptoms.

Fibromyalgia can be a very isolating illness and have a huge impact on your ability to work and socialise and can sometimes make you feel that you have no one to talk to who understands, even supportive loved ones will not be able to truly understand how you are feeling at times and for those living alone they can sometimes go for days at a time without speaking to anyone so finding support is a vital lifeline to managing your illness. Here at M.C.C. we recommend joining a support group and one of our favourites you can join from the comfort of your own home through Facebook. Fibromyalgia and Chronic Illness UK Family is a wonderful support group founded and run by a team of dedicated people who all have fibromyalgia too. A great place to interact with other people that understand your daily struggles, make friendships, discover life hacks and have fun. https://www.facebook.com/groups/538820993118697/?multi_permalinks=852358525098274¬if_id=1552948403378161¬if_t=group_highlights
